F-104G (c/n 2044) 20+37, German Air Force, JBG34, owned by the German Air Force Museum, Berlin Gatow. It is on loan to Volandia, inside Parco e Museo del Volo, Somma Lombardo, Italy.
Picture shows it on display in Italy in 2022. In between the museum has put an ASA-M Starfighter on that location but keep the 20+37 in their collection because it is a G.

They restored it to represent F-104S MM16113 code 51-57 of 155gr. The Starfighter is located in Fontane Bianche, Fratte – S. Museo Militare di Marsala, Marsala City, South of Trapani. The plan is to have it completely restored, although it has already been transported to its final preserval location. Only “37” is shown as serial.

F-104S-ASAM (c/n 1212) MM6912 as “MM6737 / RS-01”, Italian Air Force, was preserved on a pole at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore at Piacenza since April 2010. It carries the CFE plate from MM6737. In March 2019 this Italian Catholic University decided to have this F-104 removed because it is a “negative symbol of war”. In 2023 it was dismantled and transported to San Damiano for restoration. There the aircraft was internally identified as the real MM6912.

Unknown Brindisi

An unidentified F-104 can be found wearing code “9-51” at the premises of the Avio Aero factory at least since 2008. We try to find out more about its identity. This could be MM6701 which was seen in a shelter at Grazzanise in July 2006, completely restored and ready to be transported from display somewhere.

F-104S-ASA-M (c/n 1xxx) MM6???, Italian Air Force, preserved on a pole at Grazzanise in red as “9-90” to celebrate 90 years Italian Air Force in since 18 December 2013. Who knows its real identity? (It is not MM6762).

Unknown AMI Palermo

F-104S-ASA (c/n1???) MM6??? Preserved on the premises of the university of Palermo as MM6714 code 37-01 (18 Gruppo), with CFE plate from MM6714. (CFE plate of MM6714 was applied on the wrong airframe so we still do no know which one this is.) Since 21 October 2010 it is put on a framework as can be seen on the picture. In 2022 a refurbishing job started and it was seen with the new 37 Stormo markings for the first time in February 2023.

Unknown Ferentino

F-104S-ASA (c/n1…) MM6??? Preserved at the Isituto Tecnico ‘ MOVM Don Giuseppe Morosini’, Via Casilina, Ferentino (FR). it was released 25 September 2008. Although it carries the CFE plate from MM6912, the airframe is from another aircraft (unidentified yet). The real MM6912 has been identified at Piacenza in 2023 (RS-01).
