As reported earlier, the F-104G (c/n 9079) FX39 of the Belgian Air Force, could be found for a while already at Beauvechain Air Base.
On this airbase the 1st Wing Historical Museum can be found and they adopted the aircraft, parked outside somewhere at the airbase, cleaned it and brought it into their historical museum building. Now it is saved from the impact of the ouside environment. It is great that the aircraft was saved since it was in such a good shape during its final duty as instructional airframe with 100% working systems and engine (for engine test practices).
The museum can be visited on the 1st and 3rd sunday each month, between 13.30-18.00h.
