CF-104 104845 moved to new location

On November 22nd, 2024, the preserved Starfighter "4-955" was removed after 30 years, from its statute along the D-100 highway, in the center of the Turkeys city Osmancık, district of Çorum.
This is Canadair CF-104 (c/n 1145, 62-845) 104845 coded as "4-955". It was installed there around 1994, and first noted by IFS in 2006. The plane was taken from its location with the help of a crane and placed in the area approximately 15 meters away. The reason was the fact that an extra road was needed and so the aircraft had to make room for that.  Work was carried out by Osmancık Municipality Directorate of Technical Affairs teams to move the Starfighter, after a decision by the Regional Directorate of Highways. So, the aircraft is still there but a bit further away. There are plans to add some extra information around the statute.

We still have no idea why the aircraft got the fake code 4-955.
