4254 preserved again – update

In March 2015 the F-104A 4254 and other aircraft from the Tao Tyan airport museum area were put in storage when the location closed down.
It is after the Tao Yuan City government abandoned the idea of building the aviation museum.
The good news is that the Tainan City government decided to display some of the Tao Yuan museum’s aircraft near the harbor (Anping district), including this F-104A.
Pictures were found on internet showing the aircraft installed earlier this month (May 2024). Photographer 曾富農 (Zeng Fulong).
The aircraft should receive some kind of protection roof as some stated.
