24+85 preserved outside at Wittmund

The air base Wittmund, home of JG71 "Richthofen", has undergone a major change in recent years. The flying unit flying the Eurofighter is returning this year after being deployed elsewhere for a long time. At this point, due to all changes in the infrastructure it was decided to move the preserved aircraft to a display location at the Air Base and not anymore protected inside a HAS or hangar. Of course it is sad to see these nice restored aircraft, including the F-104G 24+85 no being display outside which means that the aircraft will face external weather conditions which will have a bad impact on their condition. In the evening of May 6th, the aircraft were transported to their new location at Wittmundhafen, including the F-104G.
