29 August 1976 (F-104G)

This day this Starfighter was lost in an accident. After taking off for a standard mission, while climbing to 7000 feet the pilot experienced a shock in the aircraft. He decided to return to CCK immediately escorted by his wing man. During the descent, one Nortical Mile before the runway, at 700 feet, the aircraft lost all thrust. Restarting was not possible again and while still descending the pilot ejected and was safe. Pilot was Tai Jau-Gen. Aircraft crashed not far from the runway.
