Accident Reports:

4 July 1980 (RF-104G)

Due to an engine flame-out and subsequent hydraulic failure, it crashed into sea, pilot Chao Ji-ping ejected and was picked up by a naval vessel. The aircraft was likely too low to attempt any engine restart

This photo shows RF-104G "5634" during the early 60s. Interesting to see that the Taiwanese Air Force did not add the fiscal year on the tail-serial.

This photo from the Rep. of China Air Force shows RF-104G "5634" with pilot on the platform of Tao Yuan Air Base. It must have been taken around mid 70s when the aircraft flew with the Vietnam camouflage scheme.
