Note: This Starfighter was gained by Lockheed Palmdale (plant 14) on December 15th, 1962 likely to receive specific MAP modifications. After two weeks (December 29th) it arrived at McClellan Air Base to prepare it for export to Turkey. It was officially transferred to MAP on March 19th, 1963.

Accident Reports:

8 September 1969 (F-104G)

The aircraft, belonging to 144 filo (4 AJU) at Murted Air Base, crashed near or at Polatli for an unknown reason/cause. The pilot, Hv Plt. Yzb. Necdet Kaynarcali (32 years old) was sadly killed in the accident.

Photo of the Turkish F-104G 61-2615 are rare and the only photo we ever saw was this photo taken during acceptance test flights with Lockheed in the US, so it was taken early 1963.
