Accident Reports:

10 February 1969 (TF-104G)
This aircraft (63-12695) crashed near Valfabbrica (PG), East of Perugia. Pilot, Capt. Giovanni Tempioni was sadly killed. The second pilot, Major Marcello Caltabiano ejected safely. During the mission the port tiptank separated from the wing and severely damaged the tail on impact. The aircraft was uncontrollable and crashed.

Two rare photographs of the TF-104G MM54236 with code 20-11. Both were taken at Grosseto Air Base and released to the press by the Italian Air Force early 60s. Note the white MM serial on the tail used in the early days of the Starfighter in Italy.
